How It Works
Each Deal represents a potential project in your CRM pipeline. From the Client Dashboard, you can create a deal, add the client, attach cost items, generate a proposal, and move the deal through the standard pipeline stages: New, Contacted, Proposal Sent, Negotiating, Won, or Lost.
Clients are connected to the process through their dedicated Client Portal, which is separate from your internal CRM view. From the portal, they can review proposals, receive updates, and interact with project information shared by your team.
The CRM pipeline gives your team one place to track where every opportunity stands. You can quickly see which deals are new, which proposals have been sent, which jobs are being negotiated, and which deals have turned into active projects.
Opening a deal card takes you into the full CRM detail page, where you can review client information, send messages, check portal access, manage the deal stage, review proposals, and access related project actions.

FAQ
Q: What is the difference between a Deal and a Project? A Deal is a potential job still in the sales or proposal stage. Once marked Won, it becomes a live Project with full scheduling, time tracking, and job-costing tools.
Q: Can clients see the full CRM pipeline? No. The pipeline and deal stages are visible only to your internal team. Clients interact exclusively through the separate Client Portal.
Q: Where is the Clients (CRM) section located? It lives under the main navigation (or Team & Site Offices) as the new top-level Clients (CRM) collection.
Q: Is the Client Portal included in the Free plan? Yes — basic CRM and Client Portal access are available in BuilderPal Free; advanced features (unlimited deals, custom branding) require Pro.
Q: Can I import existing clients or leads? Yes — manually add clients or import them into the CRM from your existing contacts.
