Summary
BuilderPal’s Clients (CRM) is your all-in-one hub for managing leads, deals, proposals, and client relationships — turning potential projects into active jobs with clear pipeline visibility and a professional Client Portal.
How It Helps
Track every lead and deal from first contact through contract signing
Centralize client information, documents, and communication in one place
Send polished, branded proposals directly from BuilderPal
Give clients a secure, easy-to-use portal to view proposals, contracts, progress, and financial summaries
Automatically convert a won deal into a full project with all data carried over
How It Works
Each “Deal” represents a potential project. You create the deal, add the client, attach cost items, generate a proposal, and move the deal through six standard pipeline stages: New, Contacted, Proposal Sent, Negotiating, Won, or Lost. Clients receive an invite to their dedicated Client Portal (separate from your internal CRM view) where they can review and interact with proposals and updates.
When to Use
Use Clients (CRM) whenever you:
Receive a new lead or homeowner inquiry
Prepare and send a proposal or bid
Negotiate scope, price, or terms with a client
Convert a won estimate into an active construction project
FAQ
Q: What is the difference between a Deal and a Project? A: A Deal is a potential job still in the sales or proposal stage. Once marked Won, it becomes a live Project with full scheduling, time tracking, and job-costing tools.
Q: Can clients see the full CRM pipeline? A: No. The pipeline and deal stages are visible only to your internal team. Clients interact exclusively through the separate Client Portal.
Q: Where is the Clients (CRM) section located? A: It lives under the main navigation (or Team & Site Offices) as the new top-level Clients (CRM) collection.
Q: Is the Client Portal included in the Free plan? A: Yes — basic CRM and Client Portal access are available in BuilderPal Free; advanced features (unlimited deals, custom branding) require Pro.
Q: Can I import existing clients or leads? A: Yes — manually add clients or import them into the CRM from your existing contacts.
